Hindi entertainment channel Star Plus has partnered with Kahaani director Sujoy Ghosh for three short features to air on 22 April.

Star Plus 16 April 2018The content block, called Teen Paheliyan, comprises three titles - Goodluck, Mirchi Malini and Copy - together providing suspense, excitement, surprise, anticipation and anxiety.

Goodluck explores the price one is willing to pay to acquire good fortune; the protagonist in Mirchi Malini can read a person's deepest, darkest secret; while havoc ensues in Copy, when a young boy called Sid hires a robot as a replica of himself.

Goodluck is directed by Sujoy Ghosh and stars Tina Desai and Kunal Roy Kapoor; Mirchi Malini is directed by Pratim D Gupta and stars Paoli Dam and Akshay Oberoil; and Copy is directed by Arindam Sil and features Surveen Chawla and Vikrant Massey.

"I'm delighted that Star Plus has given me this opportunity. As a filmmaker, it was very exciting for me to explore new story ideas that would cater to our new age audience. It was an experience to mould my thoughts and present them in the short feature format on television," said director Sujoy Ghosh.

"I have always sought to introduce newer and bolder concepts into my work and change the viewers' perception. Through Teen Paheliyan, I hope that people are engaged with the content this partnership offers," he added.

The short films will air on Star Plus from 1pm (Indian time) on 22 April.
