Video streaming service iflix is now available to trial in Morocco for up to six months without charge, following a tie-up with telecommunications provider Inwi.

iflx in Morocco 12 April 2018The subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service is available to all connected Moroccans for a month’s free trial through the iflix website, or by downloading the app from Google Play or Apple’s App Store.

In addition, ‘Club Inwi’ members are being offered six months’ unlimited access to iflix (worth MAD 270) as part of the operator’s subscriber privilege service, in a deal sponsored by the telecommunications operator.

During the trial period, Inwi customers will be able to access iflix on up to five devices, including phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, TVs and other connected devices, as well as watch shows simultaneously on two devices at the same time. iflix also enables subscribers to download TV shows and movies to watch later offline.

The SVOD service, aimed at emerging markets, offers a range of content including US series Friends, The Flash and The Big Bang Theory, and movies such as Hercules and Ghost, as well as iflix Originals, including The Hicham Haddad Show and Waklinha Walaa, a 60-episode Egyptian TV series.

Some of iflix’s most popular movies and TV shows will be offered with French and Arabic subtitles at launch, with the aim of localising the entire catalogue in coming months.

The Kuala Lumpur-based streaming service now claims to be available to over one billion consumers across 26 territories in Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
