Turner Latin America has appointed Sergio Nakasone to the new regional role of director entertainment content development.

nakasone turner 06 mar 2018Reporting to Tomás Yankelevich, EVP and chief content officer, general entertainment, Turner Latin America, and Ricardo Pichetto, VP of content production unit, Nakasone will be based in Chile and will oversee the development of new formats for Turner’s entire pay-TV portfolio in the region.

He will also work together with Javier Goldschmied in the development of content for Chilevision, the Turner-owned free-to-air (FTA) channel in Chile.

Nakasone has extensive experience within the broadcasting industry, participating in the production and development of Chilean and Argentinean shows like Protagonistas de la Fama, Amor Ciego and Master Chef Chile.

“Sergio [Nakasone] is a talented asset for our team. He’s bold and determined and we are sure he’ll boost our multiscreen content strategy,” said Yankelevich.

“I’m beginning a new professional phase with big challenges ahead, but I am highly motivated as I’m working for the entire region and joining a very professional and versatile team,” added Nakasone.
