Due to a failure detected in the Falcon 9 pressurisation system, SpaceX has postponed the launch of the Hispasat 30W-6 satellite.

hispasat 30w 6 24 feb 2018Initially scheduled for 25 February, the rocket launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida has been delayed with no new launch date unveiled as yet, as SpaceX needs to carry additional testing on the fairing’s pressurisation system.

“The launch will take place as soon as the incident is resolved and the launch window with the greatest chances of success is available,” said the Spanish satellite operator.

The satellite, set to replace and broaden the capacity of Hispasat 30W-4, will offer improved services across the C- and Ku-band, boosting Hispasat's capabilities for video distribution in Latin America.
