“Our intention is to create the definitive documentary about a crime that has distressed Spanish society for years,” said Ramón Campos, executive producer, Bambú Producciones. “All the main characters involved in the crime will be in the documentary to finally unveil the secrets behind the incident.”

This is not the first true crime documentary Bambú has produced; last year, it filmed Lo Que la Verdad Esconde: El Caso Asunta for the free-to-air (FTA) network Antena 3.

El Crimen de Alcàsser will be the fifth original production of the subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) leader in Spain, including Elite and the movies 7 Años and Fe de Etarras.
