As it drives towards offering IP pay-per-view (PPV) services, US cableco Mediacom Communications is to offer customers Evolution Digital’s eBOX IP Hybrid Set-Top Box, powered by TiVo.

eBOX2 13 feb 2018Mediacom delivers cable, Internet and phone services to nearly 1.4 million customers primarily located in the Midwest and Southeast regions of the US.

By delivering QAM live linear television, combined with OTT streaming apps and IP video-on-demand (VOD) content on one platform, eBOX is claimed to enable ‘a holistic’ viewing platform with universal search, personal recommendations and browse capabilities across platforms.
