Indian mobile service Reliance Jio is streaming coverage of the Winter Olympics from PyeongChang through its TV app, following a last-minute digital rights deal.

winter olympics 12 Feb 2018Jio TV is creating exclusive channels on its mobile platform to offer 24 hours of live action, highlights and updates, as well as a seven-day catch-up feature for on-demand viewing.

The Winter Games, which opened on 9 February and runs until 25 February, will feature 102 events across 15 sports, and include the participation of 90 countries.

“Jio TV will work with IOC to provide comprehensive coverage of the Games in India, thus enabling millions to access live and catch-up content on their mobile devices, on the move,” said Jio in a statement.

The International Olympics Committee’s multi-platform service the Olympic Channel is also streaming live coverage of the Winter Olympics across India.
