As the brand looks to invest further in music TV on its flagship and its sister brands, MTV UK has announced that it is launching a brand new music channel for 16-34s, MTV OMG.

MTV OMG 8Feb2018Standing for 'obsessed with music and gossip', MTV OMG will launch on 1 March 2018 and promises to feature all the biggest names and hits of the moment, as well as the latest gossip, offering a variety of content including The Official Charts: weekly top 40, artist hosted playlists, voiceover playlists, themed countdowns and quizzes.

The new service will join the rest of the MTV Music Pack, which currently includes MTV Music, MTV Base, MTV Hits, MTV Dance, MTV Rocks, MTV Classic, VH1 UK and MTV Music +1, and replaces FTA channel VIVA. It will be available as pay-TV channel on the Sky platform and on Virgin Media cable.

Commenting on the launch, Kelly Bradshaw, VP, brand lead, MTV UK, said: "We're really excited to be launching MTV OMG as the latest instalment to our booming MTV music pack. The channel will be a great complement to the rest of our portfolio, bringing audiences all the latest pop culture moments, music and gossip from the world of entertainment."
