Canal+ Myanmar, a joint venture between the Vivendi-owned media giant and local TV group Forever, has added three Celestial Tiger Entertainment channels to its nascent pay-TV platform.

KIX MMA 8Feb2018Chinese movie channel CCM, action entertainment channel KIX and Asian horror, thriller and suspense movie channel Thrill form what is the latest carriage deal for Celestial Tiger Entertainment (CTE)).

This month, to celebrate Chinese New Year, viewers of CCM will be able to watch classic Chinese films including The Casino and Double Bliss, while Thrill will offer The Conjuring and Firegate. Combat sports events Road FC, Kunlun Fight MMA and reality shows such as Escape can be found on KIX.

"We are thrilled to partner with Canal+ Myanmar FG," said Todd Miller, CEO, Celestial Tiger Entertainment. "We are very confident that Canal+ subscribers in Myanmar will enjoy our suite of top-performing, made-in-Asia channels."

Canal+ will offer both local and international content on its new platform in Myanmar, where it is targeting a potential market of 12 million homes.

This latest CTE carriage deal follows placing KIX on Vietnamese IPTV service FPT Television in late January, and securing a greater reach for its content with agreements in Laos, Cambodia and Indonesia at the beginning of 2018.
