Telefónica’s Brazilian arm Vivo has included Netflix in its mobile data offering for video streaming consumers.
According to the telco, Netflix has been added to the Double Play package, an offering that doubles the mobile data available in the subscription to be spent only through selected subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) platforms.
In addition to Netflix, the Double Play bonus includes other video services like YouTube and NBA League Pass, of which Vivo is the exclusive partner in Brazil. Its data can also be used for Spotify and Vivo Musica.
“By adding Netflix to the bouquet of selected apps, Vivo is strengthening the strategy to deliver its customers the best tools to make the most out of the internet,” pointed out the Telefónica company in a statement.
