Liberty Global has announced the record and distribution dates for the upcoming split-off of its new Latin American Division.

lilac liberty global 14 decemer 2017The telecom and pay-TV company aims to have the new company, Liberty Latin America, trading on the financial markets by 2 January 2018.

Liberty has set a record date of 26 December at 5pm ET, and a distribution date of 29 December at 5pm.

The LATAM division will comprise Liberty Global’s Latin American and the Caribbean operations, including Cable& Wireless and Chile’s VTR, currently positioned under its LiLAC Group.

Liberty Latin America will be headed up by the company’s current CTO, Balan Nair, who will act as CEO and president of the new division.
