Apple TV users can download the Foxtel Now app onto their iPhone or iPad and AirPlay shows, movies or sports events on the TV screen.

The news follows the launch of the Foxtel Now set-top box in November.

The plug-and-play device is designed to provide access to Foxtel Now in HD along with free-to-air TV channels via a built-in free-to-air tuner. It also includes access to subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) app Stan as well as free-to-air streaming apps, ABC iview, PLUS7 and tenplay.

In June 2017, Foxtel rebranded its IPTV streaming services into one product, Foxtel Now, replacing Foxtel Play and its Presto SVOD service.
