ESPN is to stream a four-part documentary miniseries following the stories of four athletes in the UAE as they prepare to compete in the international arena.

Made by ESPN and Nomad Productions in collaboration with Emirates, the series focuses on athletes competing in four different disciplines. Zahra Lari (pictured) is a UAE figure skater, aiming to become the first Emirati to compete in the Winter Olympic Games; Mohammed Al Balooshi is UAE motocross champion; Chirag Suri a professional Indian cricket player representing the UAE Cricket team; and Shadia Bseiso is the first Arab female wrestler from the Middle East to sign a contract with the WWE.

The series, which will stream in the UAE on Emirates’ and ESPN’s digital and social media channels, follows the athletes as they overcome obstacles in their determination to find success.

“As an ardent supporter of sports around the world, Emirates knows how determined and relentlessly hard these athletes work and we were inspired to share their stories,” said Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, divisional senior vice president commercial operations, Centre for Emirates Airline.

“This series will show the commitment and heart they gave to achieve their dreams. This level of story-telling – raw, passionate and honest – aligns with our brand values to connect people with their passions, interests and aspirations”.
