The recently-launched Spanish-language feed of France 24 is now available in Mexico.

france 24 dispositivos 28 september 2017Through an agreement with the IPTV provider Totalplay and the Canal Catorce of the Sistema Público de Radiodifusión (SPR) – a public signal with a 56% of national coverage – the news network has launched in Mexico, thus increasing its availability in Latin America.

According to France Médias Monde, agreements with other Mexican pay-TV providers are currently being negotiated.

Launched at the end of September 2017, France 24 en Español was initially available in Colombia (Claro and ETB), Chile (Coltrahue Digital) and Argentina (Cablevisión), targeting 13 million homes.

The channel, which broadcasts six hours of daily Spanish-language programming, is produced from a Bogota-based office in Colombia. “At the editorial office we are diverse. We are determined to be a great news and international analysis channel, which is impossible without diversity of opinions and people,” said Álvaro Sierra, director, France 24 en Español.
