The critically acclaimed series from David Fincher, Mindhunter, is returning on subscription video-on-demand(SVOD) leader Netflix for a second season.

mindhunter 1 dec 2017Netflix announced via Instagram and Twitter that it has already given the green light to the next instalments, less than two months after the show debuted on 13 October.

Fincher teased the season two possibility at the show’s premiere: “Next year we’re looking at the Atlanta child murders, so we’ll have a lot more African-American music which will be nice,” Fincher told Billboard. The reference is to a serial killer’s activity in 1979-81, in which 28 African-American children, teenagers and adults were murdered.

No release date has yet been announced for the second season, which will be executive-produced by Fincher, along with Joshua Donen, Charlize Theron and Cean Chaffin. All ten episodes of the first season are available now to binge-watch on the streaming service.
