Sony has reached an agreement with Argentina’s Telered to distribute the subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service Crackle to its customers.

abstentia crackle 02 november 2017Through the move, Sony increases Crackle’s footprint in Argentina, where the platform was launched in June through a similar deal with Gigared.

As with former Crackle partnerships, Telered clients will have to subscribe the SVOD platform as an independent service, though the company will give the first month for free and the second and third at half price.

Access to the platform will through iOS and Android mobile devices, Apple TV, Chromecast, Xbox One, and Sony and Vizio smart TVs.

“We’re happy to keep increasing our presence in Argentina and to offer Telered’s subscribers some of the best content in the world,” said José Rivera Font, VP and GM, Sony Pictures Television Digital Networks Latin America. “This agreement confirms operators’ interest to add a turnkey SVOD service with some of the best premium content on the market.”
