Spain’s Televisió de Catalunya has signed a deal with Imira Entertainment for the FUN Union series KikoRiki.

kikoriki 28 november 2017Following a multi-territorial distribution partnership between Imira and FUN Union, this is the first deal to be signed in Spain. The Catalan public broadcaster will air KikoRiki’s first, second and third seasons through its Super3children network.

According to FUN Union more contracts are currently being worked on by Imira Entertainment across the countries covered by the agreement, namely most Portuguese-, Spanish- and Italian-speaking countries.

The agreement, signed at MIPCOM 2017, covers the preschool series BabyRiki and KikoRiki, and the show for young children, PinCode.

At the time the partnership was announced, Imira CEO, Sergi Reitg, said: “Riki Universe is a phenomenal success in Russia and China, so we are sure of the success of its distribution in the territories where Imira manages the rights. There is a big demand for quality and premium content, and FUN Union’s series fit this demand perfectly.”
