Juan Ramón Gonzalo Carballal has been named as head of Cuarzo Producciones, a Banijay Group subsidiary in Spain.

ana rosa cuarzo 23 november 2017Following the merger with France’s Zodiak Media, Cuarzo is one of the four Banijay-owned companies in Spain, along with DLO, Magnolia and Non-Stop People Spain.

Gonzalo Carballal has been working within the TV production industry since 1999. He has directed Mediaset’s Las Mañanas de Cuatro, Supernanny, Conexión Samanta, and popular talk show El Programa de Ana Rosa for Telecinco.

During 2014 he was the deputy director of Atresmedia’s LaSexta news programming, and since 2015 he has been content director for Cuarzo Producciones.

Founded in 2000, Cuarzo has produced several fictional, entertainment and talk show formats for Spain’s free-to-air TV sector, including Cuarto Milenio, Viva la Vida, En El Punto de Mira and La Línea Roja, all of them for Mediaset.
