Provider of original documentary features and series, CuriosityStream, is joining the VRV line-up of premium subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) channels and curated content experiences.

Launched by Discovery Communications' founder John Hendricks, CuriosityStream is a streaming and on-demand platform which claims to fill a void in a crowded media landscape for viewers searching for a trusted source of engaging shows. VRV subscribers now have immediate access to CuriosityStream’s most popular and binge-worthy shows including the Emmy award-winning Stephen Hawking’s Favourite Places, David Attenborough’s Light On Earth, Deep Time History and The Celts: Blood, Iron & Sacrifice.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with VRV since we both share the same mission – to make it easy for fans to connect with outstanding features and series,” said CuriosityStream president and CEO Elizabeth Hendricks North. “VRV has built a great roster of channels with communities passionate about exploration and innovation, and we are honoured to offer VRV’s audiences another way to dive deep and immerse themselves in their favourite interests with our collection of award-winning documentaries in science, technology, history, nature and health.”

“Our community has been vocal in expressing their desire for content in the science, technology, and history space, and it is everything to us to fulfil their passions,” added VRV head of business development Eric Berman. “CuriosityStream has built a best-in-class offering in these categories, and we are excited to collaborate together to bring the offering to the VRV community.”
