Augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) production company Mandt Media has selected Wilcon, a US West-Coast provider of fibre-optic and data centre infrastructure, to power immersive video projects.

vr 13 nov 2017Wilcon’s 100G fibre network is designed to enable the production and delivery of 360° video content for events like Pittsburgh Steelers games, College Football Playoffs and INDYCAR races.

Mandt Media tapped into the Wilcon network in 2016 to support new VR and AR projects, which involve high-bandwidth activities such as live-streaming 4K video across multiple cameras, cloud-based post-production work and large file transfer.
