Sony has reached an agreement with pay-TV provider COTAS to bring the subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) platform Crackle to Bolivia.

Following the agreement, Crackle will be available in the Santa Cruz area for COTAS’ subscribers. The deal is the first of its kind for Crackle in Bolivia, though a larger deployment is possible following Sony’s pan-regional partnership with Tigo.

“In barely one year, over 50 operators have added Crackle to their service offerings across the Americas, enabling subscribers to access some of the best content across any device, everywhere,” said José Rivera Font, VP and GM, Sony Pictures Digital Networks Latin America.

As in other LATAM territories, Crackle will deliver its original content catalogue in Bolivia, including series such as Preacher, Snatch and Absentia, which has just been added to the platform.

In addition, COTAS subscribers in Santa Cruz will be able to access the SVOD service through its responsive, web-based platform, the iOS and Android apps, Apple TV, Chromecast and Sony’s smart TVs.
