Distribution and rights management specialist Magnify Media has landed a spate of deals for a recently launched format, When a Designer Knocks.
The format was originally produced as a 13x30 series by Zone 3 in Canada for the Bell Media-owned French-language channel Canal Vie. The series aired in 2017 under the original title Ouvrez, on ne Sait Jamais! A pan-Scandinavian deal with Banijay Nordics has now been agreed with options sealed for Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark, in addition to further deals with Tuvalu Media in Holland, Zodiak in Belgium, Screentime in Australia, Constantin Entertainment in Germany. Newen’s Production Valley has also acquired rights for France.
Under the new representation deal with Zone 3, Magnify Media is also representing All For A Cottage (Tous Pour un Chalet), which was also produced originally for Canal Vie and has been optioned by Keshet for its UK production company. The launch of these two titles marks the first time that Magnify Media has worked with formats from Canada.
