Over-the-top (OTT) and IPTV software vendor Anevia has been selected by Egyptian real estate developer SODIC to provide a head-end to support triple play and smart home services.


SODIC West Cairo 27 Oct 2017The centralised head-end Flamingo will enable the developer’s new GoSmart service in SODIC West, the largest planned mixed-use development in Egypt’s Sheikh Zayed area of West Cairo. SODIC West currently has 6,000 residents and can accommodate up to 60,000 people, offering residential, commercial and retail spaces.

Anevia’s Flamingo is an all-in-one modular solution that captures TV and radio signals from various sources such as satellite, digital terrestrial TV (DTT), cable, fibre and HDMI, to stream video content directly to SODIC West homes. Flamingo is modular and can be upgraded to answer additional demands of innovative TV services such as multiscreen viewing, time-shift and recording.
