Pay-TV and broadband digital connectivity device manufacturer KAON Media has unveiled its latest portfolio of set-top boxes (STBs).

The new releases include Android TV STBs and service expertise to help operators integrate and launch certified Android-based TV services. It also offers an operator-specific launcher and apps, and deployment support across both new and legacy set-tops.

Its freshly released 4K UHD HDR STBs meanwhile feature a faster processor capable of streaming higher resolution 4K UHD and HDR content, and KAON offers professional services for launching operator-specific VOD services and apps. The portfolio includes cross-platform support and a functionality that recognises viewers’ preferences, suggesting content suited to their needs based on availability, timing and context.

It has also debuted set-tops equipped with voice-activated artificial intelligence (AI) system, to help operators offer interactive TV services featuring media streaming, home assistant service, a home internet of things (IoT) hub service, and voice and video calls.

“We recently joined the SCTE•ISBE Corporate Alliance Partner Programme to leverage our solutions and technologies with other Corporate Alliance partners and cable operators in the United States,” said Ted Grauch, EVP of KAOM Media. “We are highly confident that our next generation set-tops and broadband CPE solutions bring the best of KAON’s global scale, professional services capabilities and latest video technology to cable operators, who want to deliver the new enhanced TV services and high quality broadband experience to their customers.”
