Aiming to strengthen its position as a content provider, BBC Worldwide Latin America/US Hispanic has unveiled its portfolio for MIP Cancun.

The catalogue is led by the long-anticipated documentary Blue Planet II, co-produced by BBC America, WDR and France Télévisions, which is set to premiere on Sunday (29 October).

Among other titles, the BBC’s catalogue includes McMafia, produced by Cuba Pictures, The last post (Bonafide Films/The Forge), Top Gear America and Astronauts: Toughest Job in the Universe.

“BBC Worldwide Latin America/US Hispanic is heading to MIP Cancun with a single goal: strengthen its position as the largest provider of high-quality British content,” said Anna Gordon, EVP and GM, BBC Worldwide Latin America/US Hispanic. “To this aim, we are offering our commercial partners dramas like McMafia and The Last Post, natural history content such as the spectacular Blue Planet II, and factuals.”

MIP Cancun will be held between 14-17 November in the Mexican city with the aim of developing production partnerships and trade content for the Latin American and US Hispanic TV markets.
