Targeting kids from four to seven, the signal was released on 1 July for Spanish-speaking territories. After originally being slated for launch in Brazil in September, after a slight delay the pay-TV network - which replaces Mundo Max across all packages - has now landed.

“The launch of Nat Geo Kids is a great opportunity to deliver exclusive content under the quality label of National Geographic, and targeting a highly-competitive demographic,” said Carlos Martínez, president, FOX Networks Group Latin America.

“Nat Geo Kids’ arrival in Brazil highlights our steady growth in delivering unique content proposals. The new platform enables us to work together with kids and parents, offering an educational alternative without forgetting the fun,” added Michel Piestun, SVP and GM, FOX Networks Group, Brazil.
