Distribution and rights management specialist Magnify Media has closed a three-year representation deal with CNN Vision, the organisation’s global production business that makes premium lifestyle content, documentaries and specials.

In24hours CNN 17oct2017The deal will start with immediate effect, and Magnify Media’s distribution of these three shows supplements the content sales and licensing activity from CNN International Commercial to syndicate CNN’s news content and original programming to broadcasters and digital publishers.

Magnify Media has launched the new volume slate at MIPCOM with highlights such as the 17x30’ In 24 Hours in which host James Williams gives the lowdown on the ‘must do’ sights of the world’s great cities; Culinary Journeys (18x30’), which sees world-famous chefs invite viewers into their kitchens in some of the most famous restaurants around the globe; and Vital Signs (24x30’), which explores how health issues are detected, treated and handled in different regions of the world.

The deal was brokered on the behalf of Magnify Media by Andrea Jackson, founder, managing director and CEO. Commenting on the announcement, she said: “CNN is one of the most recognised global brands and we are proud to be working with their content. This deal adds a rich seam of quality non-scripted content to Magnify’s pipeline. By the very nature of the channel for which they were produced, these shows have global appeal and high production values baked into their soul. CNN Vision’s portfolio is a great addition to our catalogue of hand-picked formats and specialist factual shows.”
