Pay-TV network Canal Sony has claimed strong audience growth in Colombia, Peru and Argentina following new seasons of The Voice and The X Factor.

xfactor canal sony 12 october 2017In Colombia, the network’s prime time audience grew 83% among men 18-49 and doubled among women 25-49. According to Sony, this growth has driven the network to rise 12 positions in Colombia’s pay-TV ranking.

Similar figures have been claimed in Peru, where Canal Sony’s average audience in September tripled among people 18-49, becoming the eighth most-watched pay-TV channel in the country.

During September, the network’s audience among Argentinean men 18-49 increased 40% and among women 17%.

“Latin America’s audience has reacted extraordinarily to our content proposal for the new TV season,” said Irving Plonskier, SVP, advertising sales, Latin America and Brazil, Sony Pictures Television Networks.

In addition to The Voice and The X Factor, Canal Sony is also premiering in LATAM new episodes of Scandal and the first season of Beyond.
