Insight TV, which claims to be the world’s largest Ultra HD broadcaster and producer of native Ultra HD HDR content covering action sports, entertainment, and lifestyle, has announced the availability of its new seven-part reality series, THRU.

insightthru 11oct2017To be demoed on a show-reel at MIPCOM 2017, THRU shows a series of teams trekking across landscapes following a straight line from point A to point B. Each team starts at opposite ends and travels in opposite directions. They face difficult obstacles and physical challenges by trekking directly over, under and through buildings, drop-offs, swamps and pools. The team that takes the shortest route will be the team that survives and thrives.

“We’re incredibly excited about the launch of THRU as it builds on our fast growing, strong portfolio of compelling and creative content that we’ve created this year,” commented Insight TV global content strategy manager Arun Maljaars. “MIPCOM 2017 is the perfect venue for us to demonstrate the show’s inventive format and we’re looking forward to seeing what the future holds for this adventurous new series.”

The deal comes on the heels of incumbent German telco Deutsche Telekom announcing that it was to launch a linear Ultra HD channel from Insight TV on its Entertain TV platform.
