Content giant HBO’s current foray into the Nordic region, which is striking fear into the heart of the area’s leading operators, has gained more momentum with the launch of new kids and family content from Toonix.

At launch, Toonix will offer more than 2,000 episodes of the most acclaimed shows and films, including popular content from Turner’s Cartoon Network Studios, Warner Bros Animation and other sources. All shows are fully localised, with offerings in Swedish, Danish, Norwegian and Finnish, and are 100% ad free.

With brand new content set to be added each week, key shows include all-time favourites The Amazing World of Gumball, Lego Ninjago, Looney Tunes, The Powerpuff Girls, Adventure Time, Ben 10, Teen Titans Go!, Scooby-Doo and Tom and Jerry. These sit alongside pre-school classics, Shaun the Sheep, Alfie Atkins, and My Little Pony and local favourites like Pippi Longstocking, Bamse, Rasmus Klump and The Moomins. HBO Nordic is already the home of series such as Game of Thrones, Westworld and Big Little Lies.

Now our adult TV-series fans as well as families with kids can enjoy all their favourite shows on HBO Nordic,” says Hervé Payan, CEO, HBO Europe.
