Video ad serving platform SpotX will become the exclusive provider of programmatic monetisation for Vudu’s Movies on Us advertising-supported content catalogue.

vudu 3 oct 2017Vudu is Walmart’s subscription-free, premium digital movie service. Last year, it launched Movies on Us, a free, ad-supported service that offers more than 3,000 high-definition (HD) movie titles ranging from Flyboys to All Dogs Go to Heaven.

“The AVOD industry has grown dramatically over the past year, providing advertisers with more ways to reach audiences across screens and delivery systems,” said Mike Laband, SpotX VP of business development. “Vudu’s Movies on Us feature gives advertisers a unique opportunity to reach millions of viewers on Vudu, which is available across 100,000,000-plus devices.”

Since launching in October 2016, Vudu’s Movies on Us feature continues to provide customers with a growing list of thousands of popular movie and TV titles. The free service builds upon Vudu’s recent upgrades to provide high quality video-on-demand (VOD) viewing experiences across desktop, mobile and over-the-top (OTT) devices.
