AsiaSat is now broadcasting the new free-to-air channel Sophia TV Asia after a deal with its representative, satellite service provider Milano Media Broadcast (MMB).

AsiaSat 28 Sept 2017Its addition to AsiaSat 5 marks the first outing in Asia for Sophia TV, which has already aired in Europe, Africa and South America. The channel’s programming includes ethically-oriented roundtable discussions and talks, vegetarian cooking classes, children’s shows, nature documentaries, as well as readings, meditation, relaxation music and classical concerts.

“Our programme content deals with the most diverse spheres of life ... for the peoples of all cultures. We are very pleased to have first-rate distribution service from MMB and AsiaSat, making our content widely accessible by TV networks and audiences across the Asia-Pacific,” said Stefano Delù, legal representative, Sophia TV Asia.
