In what it says is a second edition of ‘slime, music and mayhem’, factual, entertainment and live event specialist CC-Lab has been commissioned by Nickelodeon UK to produce a 60-minute special from its 2017 live event Slimefest.

slimefestlarge 21sep2017Taking place at The Arena, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, from 21-23 October, the broadcast will feature performances from across the three days of the event and will premiere on Nickelodeon UK on 3 November. The Slimefest broadcast will feature highlights from the six sold-out live shows, including headliners Pixie Lott, The Vamps and performances from dance troupe Diversity, YouTube star JoJo Siwa, as well as guest appearances from the stars of Nickelodeon’s hit series School of Rock.

“Bringing unmissable live experiences to audiences is priority for Nickelodeon and Slimefest is one of our most important events of the year,” said Virginia Monaghan, VP, creative, marketing and communications, Nickelodeon UK and Ireland. “Slimefest 2017 is bigger than last year with more shows and more incredible performers so CC-Lab will have a lot to work with as they capture the excitement at the events and produce a programme that is unmistakably Nickelodeon.”

Justin Rees, executive producer at CC-Lab, added: “Slimefest — as its name suggests — comes with a certain degree of organised chaos. The atmosphere is wild and full of kids doing what they do best — having a rollicking good time partying with their favourite bands while covered in green slime. What’s not to love?’

This new broadcast is the second Slimefest special following the 2016 live shows and broadcast, also produced by CC-Lab.
