As it aims to serve as an accelerator for its clients, Sony DADC New Media Solutions’ Ven.ue Platform, said to be the first 100% cloud-based enterprise digital supply chain, has racked up the milestone of 10 million files delivered.

sonydadc 17sep2017Ven.ue provides what Sony claims is unlimited capacity, elastic scalability and unprecedented flexibility as it aims to support global content management, distribution, commerce and over-the-top (OTT) offerings. Its repository currently holds 1,260,000 hours of premium content spanning 23 languages, representative of more than 450 content owners. Sony adds that the solution is able to ship content in less than an hour from order receipt to availability for consumer viewing.

“While others seem to endlessly debate the emotional, economic and strategic merits of going all-in on the cloud, we were able to cut through the noise and deliver on this promise to our clients,” explained Andy Shenkler (pictured), EVP and chief solutions and technology officer of Sony DADC NMS. “The benefits we have unlocked by fully committing to a cloud strategy are clearly seen by our clients and the advantages they are realising cannot be understated.”
