Content and service protection company Conax has launched a new end-to-end offering that it says enables unique flexibility for operators and encompasses all key components needed to launch a complete multiscreen offering - reducing cost, complexity and time-to-market.

conax 3may2017Conax Arena is pre-integrated with a wide range of partner technologies — such as those from Accedo, Beenius, OpenTV and TiVo — representing the value chain for providing an E2E operator multiscreen offering. It has been developed to provide a future-oriented, easy to deploy and manage service enabling operators to aggressively innovate their consumer offering by embracing multiscreen features from simple streaming service to an advanced viewing experience.

The company sees that fundamentally it will provide pay-TV operators with a concrete solution to the growing challenges created by international streaming services and changing customer preferences. It is confident that Arena will allow service providers to deploy a complete end-to-end solution adapted to their local market without costly customisation – and without having to compromise on a one-size-fits-all solution.

“Our aim is help operators drastically reduce both CAPEX and provide a multiscreen service usually available to only the largest operators in the world,” said Conax EVP products and partners Tom Jahr. “Arena enables premium flexibility offering pay-TV operators freedom to choose most suitable user experience and middleware for their regional market requirements. The Arena hub represents the perfect foundation for future growth supporting the modular, pay-as-you grow price model in line with all Conax offerings.”

The solution is built on Conax Contego as a back-end and with Conax CMS as its middleware for managing, publishing, and distributing live and on demand video services. It is already pre-integrated with most major encoders, CDNs and STB vendors. Customers using Conax Arena can choose between different user experiences to define the option best suited for their regional offering.
