The Dominican Republic telco Viva Dominicana is to deploy Ericsson revenue management products as part of an end-to-end network modernisation project.

viva tv 29 august 2017The operator, which delivers pay-TV through a direct-to-home (DTH) service, will employ the Ericsson Charging System 16, Ericsson Multi Mediation, and all systems integration services and consultant services.

According to Ericsson, the modernisation of Viva’s IT environment supports monetisation of voice and data services, including different options for the configuration of new plans, as well as the path to operator’s short-, medium- and long-term business evolution.

“Modernised IT solutions allow us to have a more agile operation, which is needed as we launch new 3G and LTE services. Ericsson’s complete end-to-end solution showed us that they were the best partner for this transformation,” said Luis Bodega, CEO, Viva Dominicana.

“Our pre-integrated solution will help Viva Dominicana expand its data offerings, quickly respond to consumer demands for service bundles by decreasing time to market,” added Elie Hanna, president Ericsson Mexico, Central America and Caribbean.
