Discovery’s Indian sports channel DSport has acquired the broadcast rights for golf’s year-ending major tournament PGA Championships.

PGA Chamiponship Quail Hollow 10 August 2017India’s Anirban is one of 156 golfers teeing off at Quail Hollow Club, North Carolina from 10-13 August. It is the first time the club has hosted a Golf Major, although it holds an annual event on the PGA Tour, the Wells Fargo Championship.

DSport will broadcast the 99th PGA Championships live and exclusively in India in two phases across the four days of The Open, beginning at 10.30pm on 10 August.

The Asian premium sports channel has already broadcast three out of four major championships of men’s professional golf. In addition to the PGA Championships, golf fans in India were able to watch the US Open and the British Open on DSport this year.
