In Spain, Merlí finished shooting its third and final season last week. The series is broadcast by Catalonia’s public network TV3, and Telefónica’s Movistar+ has acquired the TV rights for the series nationwide.

The format - which is available in its original language Catalan as well as Spanish - has also been acquired by the regional broadcaster ETB to air across the Basque Country, where it will be dubbed into Euskera.

This is not the first time that Merli, which is internationally distributed by Lagardère Studios Distribution, has signed an agreement outside Spain. The series is part of Netflix’s catalogue in the US and Latin America, and has been showcased by Canal Plus France’s Cinema+ Famillie network.
