Mexican pay-TV provider Axtel has launched a streaming service which integrates Sony’s Crackle, FOX Premium and HBO Go.

axtel hbo 14 july 2017Axtel Play will initially rely on Sony’s subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service Crackle, FOX Premium and HBO Go, each of which has to be subscribed to independently, with only FOX Premium having a reduced price if subscribed to through Axtel Play.

The over-the-top (OTT) service will be available through a responsive web platform and each platform will have its own suite of mobile and smart TV apps, which can be used by Axtel Play clients.

“We know that users want to be in control of all the content they’re consuming, which is why we have created Axtel Play, an online entertainment service to which is easy to subscribe to, and supported by quality content provided by Crackle, FOX Premium and HBO Go,” said Javier Rodríguez Pereyra, director, market strategy, Axtel.
