Sony Pictures Television Networks and Uruguay’s TCC are partnering to launch the subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service Crackle in the country.
Under the terms of the agreement, TCC’s pay-TV clients will be able to subscribe to the standalone SVOD service, and the platform will be available for free for a month through TCC’s over-the-top (OTT) service, TCC Vivo.
“This agreement demonstrates the interest of Latin American pay-TV operators in adding a turnkey SVOD service with some of the best premium content on the market,” said José Rivera Font, VP and GM, Sony Pictures Television, Latin America. “We believe Crackle will be soon available throughout the whole region.”
“Crackle’s proposal meets the latest consumption trends. As content distributors, it’s key to integrate the best entertainment options. In addition, the service delivers quality and prestigious content,” added Javier Ruete, CEO, TCC.
