Latina-Panamericana has inked a deal with Telefónica to share the Peruvian national volleyball team’s matches via pay-TV and free-to-air (FTA).

“Through this agreement, Movistar Deportes (formerly CMD) will add the games of the national team to its already comprehensive coverage of volleyball competitions,” said Alfredo Arosemena, content and advertising director of Telefónica’s B2B unit, Media Networks.
“It enables us to screen everything related to Peruvian volleyball: national team matches, international tournaments, professional leagues, junior competitions and analysis, which strengthens volleyball’s footprint across our various platforms,” added Arosemena.
“In Peru, volleyball is a tradition and it is a sport that has delivered great success to the country,” said Leonardo Bigott, general manager, Latina-Panamericana. “We’re committed to bring every game to Peru’s homes through a quality signal and the best team of journalists and commentators.”
Latina-Panamericana, which is the result of the 2015 merger between both networks, also has a similar FTA pay-TV agreement with Movistar TV for Peruvian football.
