Spain’s Mediaset has launched a free-to-air (FTA) programming slot aiming to attract binge-watchers.

Around its different content verticals, Be Mad will build a daily binge-watching experience through content and video from Mtmad, its online platform.
Mediaset will begin with travel, broadcasting consecutive episodes of Callejeros Viajeros, one of the company’s most iconic travel shows, and Ene Camps, its online format following Nerea Camps’ trip across Asia.
Be Mad will continue with history programming, with day-long broadcasts of Ciudades Bajo Tierra and the mini-series Tutankhamen; extreme content including Ink Master, Tattoo fixers and the Bea and Rodri tattoo show on Mtmad; and the crime formats Conexión Samanta, 21 Días and Callejeros.
Since it launched a year ago, Be Mad has become Mediaset’s testing ground for both new programming and formats and advertising models.
