Ooredoo’s IPTV service has now passed the 100,000 subscriber mark, the Qatari telecommunications operator has announced.

Ooredoo TV 18 May 2017Upgraded from its Mozaic TV service, Ooredoo TV combines apps, an on-demand service and 46 linear television channels. The IPTV service offers premium packages from regional operators beIN, OSN, Abu Dhabi Sports Media, TFC, My GMA and Starzplay.

In the past year, Oordedoo TV has launched the region’s first 4K set-top box (STB) and its first 4K linear channel, as well as embarking on the exclusive distribution in Qatar of MBC’s HD channels and a co-branded linear channel MBC+Ooredoo. The fibre-based IPTV platform also offers a dedicated kids’ user interface, to provide parents with peace-of-mind that their children have suitable viewing content.
