The third and fourth seasons of the BBC’s Emmy-winning factual series Life Below Zero is to be shown across all screens by History Latin America.

The deal, announced by BBC Worldwide, the UK public broadcaster’s commercial arm, will see season three hit screens in 2017, with season four next year.

“This agreement underscores the interest in BBC Worldwide's content and validates our strategy to offer audiences in Latin America some of our most popular titles across a diversity of platforms including pay-TV transmissions, video streaming platforms and [broadcast] television,” remarked Anna Gordon, executive vice president and managing director of BBC Worldwide Latin America/US Hispanic. “Agreements like today’s signed with History Latin America will soon allow us to deliver the best British content in the world to Latin American audiences.”

Added Miguel Brailovsky, SVP of programming and production for History LATAM parent A+E Networks Latin America: “We believe that Life Below Zero has all the ingredients that fans of factual television look for in a series: great characters, monumental natural scenery, and the adrenaline to face extraordinary lives with dangers that are unknown for most of us. The BBC has built an exciting programme which complements perfectly the other original content of History.”
