FOX Networks Group (FNG) Latin America has reached an exclusive TV rights agreement with UFC across the region.

ufc combate 12 may 2017Throughout the year, the group’s channels will deliver 160 hours of live UFC content as well as TV shows like UFC Fight Nights and the reality show The Ultimate Fighter. Kicking off tomorrow (13 May), the deal will offer the popular fighting content through the linear channels and mobile apps of FOX Sports and FOX Premium.

Targeting 44 million pay-TV homes across Latin America, FOX will broadcast UFC programming in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, the entire Central America and the Caribbean.

In addition, effective January 2019, a similar agreement has been signed for Mexico, a country in which the UFC has an ongoing deal with Televisa.

“We’ll try to create synergies with FOX Sports in the US, which also owns UFC rights, in order to deliver an even more comprehensive coverage,” said Francisco Pazmiño, SVP, acquisitions and programming strategy, FOX Sports Latin America.

“This new agreement enables us to continue adding value to our unique and powerful entertainment experience, looking to meet our subscribers’ demands,” added Edgar Spielmann, EVP & COO, FNG Latin America.

“The opportunity to broadcast our content to over 44 million homes will add significant growth to the UFC brand and mixed martial arts across the region. This commercial partnership with FNG Latin America will enable us to expand our production efforts throughout new LATAM countries,” added Joe Carr, senior VP, international and content, UFC.
