Pakistan’s state-run broadcaster PTV is mulling the introduction of a children’s entertainment channel, according to local media.

If approved, the accompanying channel, which would be converted from one of PTV’s existing channels, would promote Pakistan’s culture and belief through shows, dramas and movies aimed at children. “By producing and broadcasting movies and TV shows, we can help create awareness among children about their rights and values and also to motivate them to become good citizens,” an official at the information and broadcasting ministry reportedly told The Express Tribune.
