Leading US operator Altice USA is eyeing adding content from various streaming video companies.

That’s the word from chairman and CEO Dexter Goei, who said at the NAB Show in Las Vegas that the company was in talks with several video-on-demand (VOD) services to integrate their content into its pay-TV service.

“Clearly there are certain providers that are unique to the non-linear world that makes sense to integrate into the user experience,” Goei said.

Altice came to the US in 2015 with the $9.1 billion acquisition of Suddenlink Communications. It then bought Cablevision Systems for $17.7 billion last year, and now has 4.3 million residential customers in the New York metropolitan area and the Midwest. Altice recently filed documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission to offer an IPO, signalling that it was looking forward to additional growth.

“This is a starting point for us in the US,” Goei said.
