Sony Pictures Television Networks has selected the Encompass CloudVOD platform and geographically diverse digital network operations centres (DNOC) to distribute video-on-demand (VOD) assets.

Sony 21 April 2017The partnership will cover the delivery of Sony’s English and Spanish US channels, including getTV, Cine Sony and Sony Movie Channel, to major pay-TV and streaming providers.

Powered by Microsoft Azure, Encompass’ CloudVOD platform manages the nuances of processing requirements and multiple technology standards inherent in traditional and over-the-top (OTT) VOD delivery.
