BBC Worldwide is preparing to showcase the latest British content for Spanish-speaking markets during the BritScreen events.
“The BritScreen events are a golden opportunity for the industry’s executives to discuss the sector’s future with BBC Worldwide’s team,” said Anna Gordo, executive VP and GM, BBC Worldwide, Latin America/US Hispanic. “In addition, they will get the chance to exclusively watch some of our latest productions.”
BritScreen’s programme of events in Mexico and Miami includes conferences with BBC executives including David Boyle, executive VP of market trends, and David Hanono, GM for sales and digital in Latin America and the US Hispanics.
Both events take place as the commercial arm of the British broadcaster has withdrawn most of its pay-TV signals from Latin America. The corporation continues to increase focus on content production and distribution across the American Spanish-speaking markets.
