Paris-LA-based producer and distributor Prime Entertainment Group has closed what it calls a ‘significant’ deal with National Geographic Mundo airing in the US for a Spanish-speaking audience.

prime nat geo 18 APril 2017NatGeo Mundo launched in 2011, broadcasting in Spanish, and is now available to approximately 86.144 million US pay-TV households. It is the first Spanish-language offering from the National Geographic Society in the US and features high quality, family friendly original programming involving nature, science, culture and history.

The channel has now gone for Prime’s 1x52’ documentary Those On The Other Side to be aired both in the US and the Caribbean. The programme follows the extraordinary life of ordinary Mexican families living on both sides of the border, a particularly polemic subject in today's political context.

“We’ve had in the last year a growing success with our catalogue in North America,” remarked Prime MD David Freydt. “We like the programmes we distribute very much and we’re happy they suit the needs of so many prestigious channels, especially in the USA.”
